The California Early Childhood Special Education (CalECSE) Network provides assistance, professional learning, and guidance in best practices to educators in order to improve outcomes for young children and their families. At the annual CalECSE Symposium in October, Lewis Early Learning Academy (LELA) was honored with the "Spotlight on Excellence" award for their exemplary Early Childhood Special Education program. LELA provides a wide range of services to young children and their families, including partnering with many community preschool programs for meaningful inclusive learning.
